Mike is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) who practices a results-oriented approach to counseling.  Utilizing treatment approaches rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) including Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP), and supplemented by Existential-Humanism, Mike directs growth and insight using practical strategies that help clients lead more meaningful and well-balanced lives.

With 8+ years of clinical experience in the field of counseling, Mike has worked and trained in inpatient and outpatient settings, specializing in treating anxiety related disorders and depression, and has successfully served clients experiencing a range of behavioral health disorders including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). 

Mike earned his Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University (Pittsburgh) after a career as photojournalist for 15+ years and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of his clients.  Mike sees clients ranging from children to older adults, helping them improve their overall functioning across settings: at home, work, school, athletics—both individually and interpersonally. He listens empathetically and creates a therapeutic environment where clients can feel heard without being judged, all while taking action on finding solutions.

On a personal level, Mike is passionate about interests including spending time with his family, exercise, and coaching and playing baseball.
