Michael Calkins OCD Pittsburgh Therapist

Michael is a licensed professional therapist who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. He has worked in the mental health field for over 15 years and has an eclectic background in terms of services provided as a mental health professional. Michael has experience providing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in group and individual settings. Michael’s therapeutic skills have been formed through and influenced by extensive training, education, and experience with ACT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and ERP.


Michael believes in the strength of a therapeutic relationship and in the efficacy of the therapies provided at the Center for OCD and Anxiety. He works to empower individuals and families to reach their full potential and achieve well-defined treatment goals. He utilizes an empathetic approach and strives to provide warmth and kindness to those who enter into treatment with him.


Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and his dog. He is an avid mountain biker and basketball lover. Michael loves engaging in various physical fitness programs, meditation, and yoga to enhance his own mental and physical wellness.
