Jody is a licensed professional counselor and board-certified art therapist with over 15 years in the mental health field. She received her Master of Arts in Art Therapy with a specialization in Counseling from Seton Hill University in 2011. She has experience working with adults, adolescents, children, and families experiencing challenges with depression, anxiety, trauma and loss, family conflict, and personal growth. Rather than adopting one way of working for all people and all problems, Jody uses an eclectic, integrative approach to client-centered therapy. She specializes in treating anxiety related disorders using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as well as family systems work, and art therapy.

Jody tempers the therapeutic process with creativity, imagination, and humor, along with practical solutions and concrete goals. She believes healing is a collaborative journey that requires honest caring without judgment. Jody utilizes a cooperative approach to assist clients achieving what they want during their treatment.

In her free time, Jody can be found spending time with her husband and dogs, playing cozy video games, or immersed in one of her and her husband’s many house projects.
