Associate Therapist, Monroeville

Jeff (he/him) is a licensed social worker (LSW) with a master’s degree in social work from Edinboro University (Edinboro, PA). His journey to working as a mental health clinician began during his previous acting career, where his love for walking in the shoes of characters ignited a deep curiosity for the human condition – a passion that now combines with his desire to help others as a therapist.
Jeff focuses on using evidenced based therapies to treat mood disorders, anxiety disorders, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and OC related disorders. During his tenure at Western Psychiatric Hospital in Pittsburgh, Jeff served as a group leader for the Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) adult Intensive Outpatient group (focused on OCD and other OC related disorders), and as an individual therapist for patients struggling with symptoms stemming from anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolarity, PTSD, and borderline personality disorder.
Jeff utilizes a blend of standard Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Habit Reversal Training (HRT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Prolonged Exposure (PE) with the intention of reducing suffering and increasing joy in people’s lives.
Along with a strong belief in using evidence-based therapies, Jeff draws from his non-linear path in life to inform him. As a former actor and carpenter, Jeff has acquired a natural curiosity for interacting with people from all walks of life. His work is guided by a passionate commitment to stand side by side with those who are in the struggle of navigating their way out of overwhelming circumstances. Finally, Jeff is known to have a quick wit and to enjoy a good laugh.
