Ali is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who earned her graduate degree from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Work. Her background includes working with children, adolescents, families, and couples in a variety of clinical settings, such as therapeutic day treatment centers, outpatient clinics and schools. Ali’s work is most informed by trainings in Exposure and Prevention Therapy (ERP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Ackerman Institute for the Family’s Externship in Family Therapy.
Ali believes in the healing nature of a strong therapeutic relationship. Keeping this in mind, she aims to create a trusting and collaborative space where she can help clients to examine and challenge the ways in which their thoughts, behaviors and ways of relating create distress, both internally and within the context of their family. Ali’s approach is warm and genuine, and she aims to facilitate growth and change by attending to the unique circumstances and strengths of each individual or family.
