Kristina Grimm, M.Ed.

Associate Therapist, South Hills

Kristina earned her Master of Counseling Education degree at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She has been working in the mental health field for over 10 years in a variety of settings including residential, community treatment team, schools, and a crisis hotline/walk-in center. Kristina has spent much of her career working with individuals who have primary mental health diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorders. Kristina’s primary specialty is in helping individuals with OCD and anxiety.

Kristina believes that therapy is based on trust, and she works hard to create an environment where her clients feel safe to express emotions and be heard. She is trained in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Unconditional positive regard and accountability are also foundational elements in Kristina’s approach.  

In Kristina’s free time she enjoys boating with friends, spending time with family, exploring different areas of Pittsburgh, and relaxing with her cat, Rowan.
