Looking for Our Training Institute?

In order to reduce the 7 year timeframe from an individual entering treatment to receiving an accurate OCD diagnosis and the right treatment, The Center for OCD and Anxiety offers quarterly live online training in OCD diagnosis and the Exposure Response Prevention treatment model and OCD subtypes. We also have pre-recorded webinars and supervision and consultation options available to make sure your client is getting the care they need!

Our Continuing Education Units (CEUs): All live and pre-recorded trainings are approved for CEUs through co-sponsorship of the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Social Work, a Council on Social Work Education accredited school and therefore a PA pre-approved provider of social work continuing education. These credit hours satisfy requirements for LSW/LCSW, LMFT, and LPC biennial license renewal. For information on social work continuing education, please visit socialwork.pitt.edu/continuing-ed.

We provide individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and other issues such as Social Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Panic Attacks, and Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD). ERP, CBT, and ACT for OCD and Anxiety

We specialize in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Research has consistently shown that these approaches are the most effective therapy for OCD and OC Spectrum Disorders. We also incorporate aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a more recent approach based on advances in our understanding of how thoughts work that focuses on mindfulness strategies. If you would like more information on the specific therapies we employ, you can click on the following links.

Exposure Therapy ERP Pittsburgh

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)

The evidence-based therapy for OCD based on “exposing” yourself to your triggers in manageable doses.

Cognitive Therapy CBT Pittsburgh

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

An approach to therapy that focuses on releasing your commitment to exaggerated and distorted thoughts.

Pittsburgh ACT Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

A therapy that focuses on accepting uncomfortable thoughts and feelings and learning to direct your attention towards what is most helpful in life.
